A sepia toned matt finish company printed photo postcard featuring the Arnfried. She was built in 1911 at AG Weser, Bremen (stated on the reverse of the card). She was captured as a prize later in 1914 off Africa and became the Hunsdon for the British Government in 1915. She was sunk in 1918. The card is written in May 1914 at Las Palmas with a Spanish stamp attached, but has a Plymouth Paquebot cancellation. Very light corner and edge wear with a little light rubbing to the bottom of the left edge. A light crease to the top right of the card from the top edge down to the foremast of the vessel. Very light surface impressions from the postal cancellation along the top of the card. Some surface spotting and silvering of the photo, particularly bottom right around the bow of the vessel.
