Presidente Gomez 1201905 Presidente Gomez Reederei H.C. Horn, Flensburg A company printed photo postcard featuring the Presidente Gomez. She was built in 1929 and served under this name until she was renamed Waldtraut Horn in 1936. in 1940 she was taken over by the German navy to become a mine barrage breaker vessel Hilfsperrbrecher A, then Sperrbrecher A and finally Sperrbrecher 24. After the war she passed to the Soviet Navy as Kushka. The card is postally used in 1934 at Barranquilla, Colombia, with Colombian postage stamps. Very light corner wear. A small mark in the top left corner, otherwise extremely light marking to the front. A couple of very light surface impressions to the front from the address writing to the reverse. Sedina 6543236 Sedina Riga-Lubecker Dampfschiffahrts-Gesellschaft An early monochrome company art card featuring the Sedina. She was built in 1899 for the Stettin Rigaer Damps, but sold in 1911 to the Riga-Lubecker Damps. In 1914 she went to the Russian Navy as the Nul then the Tralshchik Provodnik. From 1918 to 1929 she reverted to the Riga-Lubecker Damps. Card is printed on light blue card. Postally used in Riga in 1914. A little light corner and edge wear with a tiny surface crinkle across the top left corner tip. Heavy surface indentations along the top half of the card from the heavily stamped postal cancellation to the reverse. A couple of small postal ink marks top centre and top left corner.
